Kotahitanga in action. Let's get our people to the polls this year.
Let's take on the challenge together – reach out to your whānau, friends and those in your community, and walk alongside them from that first ‘are you enrolled?’ conversation through to voting day. Use our free web-app or printed star chart to follow every conversation and make sure no one in your circle gets left behind this election.

Now's the time to unite
This election is the most important of our lives. We need a government that works for all of us, and one that will protect the environment. We need a government committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
Te Tiriti o Waitangi is the pathway for a better future together where everyone has a place in Aotearoa. When all of us vote for a government that cares for people and the planet, we all win. Your vote matters.
Every election lots of people who could vote, don't. This government has made it even harder for people to vote by limiting when people can enrol to vote. That's why it is important to help others vote - your friends, whānau, workmates, teammates, networks, community & faith groups - anyone and everyone in your community!
Take the challenge
Tiriti Action Group wants to support you to reach out to as many people as you can to ensure that they vote this year. The challenge will move/shift you from those casual convos that ‘the government sucks’ - into action to ensure that your people get enrolled in time and get to polls. We can increase the numbers of people who actually vote - by being a trusted face that connects with them and ensures they have the info and support they need to vote.
Ready? Let's go
Te Wero Pōti is available either as a web-app or as a real-world printed star chart to help you follow your progress with your contacts. You can download the printed version or we can send you printed ones along with badges, posters & stickers.
Chart your progress, star by star
Prefer pen and paper? Print your own star chart and stick it on the fridge, wall or noticeboard. List each person you’re supporting, and fill in a star for every step — from your first chat about enrolling through to polling day. It’s a great fit for kaumātua, kura, marae, or anywhere a phone doesn’t quite belong. Download it now, or ask us to post you a physical copy with badges, posters and stickers for your whānau or your stall.
Encourage your people to vote, effortlessly
Rather use your phone? Our web-app turns getting your people to vote into a kaupapa you can actually see progress on. Add your friends and whānau and work through a simple checklist supporting them to get enrolled and to vote this election year. When it’s time to reach out, you don’t have to find the words yourself: pick from a selection of ready-made, customisable messages and send them straight over SMS, WhatsApp or wherever you want to have that kōrero. Level up, and earn badges as you go, and let built-in reminders and a live countdown keep you up to date on when enrolments close, booths open and voting ends.

Bring the kaupapa to your community
Got a market day, expo, church group or workplace lunchroom where people gather? We’ll help you set up an enrolment stall — signage, star charts, pens and a simple script to start the kōrero. Prefer to give your time instead? We’re always looking for volunteers to help others enrol and get to the polls.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to include my phone number?
No, you don't need to input your phone number.
Do I need to input other people's phone numbers?
No, you don't need to input other people's phone numbers. On iOS (iPhone) the app cannot directly access your contact list to tap and input, so phone numbers have to be copy/pasted if you do want to include them.
How does the app know what someone's voting status is?
The app only knows what you tell it. Because we are focused on safety and privacy, you will need to update the status of people as you have conversations.
I've used the app on my computer, and closed the window. Is the data all gone?
No, the data will still be there as long as you haven't cleared the history.
What information does the app collect about me and my contacts?
The app does not collect any information about you or your contacts. There are no accounts or cookies. All data is only on your device.
I need info about the election, where do I go?
Go to Vote.nz for enrolment info. We've got a folder of great resources about voting for Te Tiriti and links to other groups and organisations working on getting out the vote.
I want to request a stall kit to do an enrolment stall, do you have something like that?
Yes! Request a stall kit or volunteer to staff an enrolment stall.
